Leader In Me Academy
Sycamore Families,
We are so excited to welcome you all into a brand-new year of growth, leadership, and connection. As your Leader in Me Parent Ambassador, I believe that when we learn and grow together, our children will flourish even more on their leadership journey.
This year, our focus is on learning and living out the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. These principles are powerful tools that help us not only raise leaders but also strengthen our homes, families and personal lives. To get the most our of this journey, I encourage you to dive into the writings of the Covey family:
- The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Stephen R. Covey
- The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families - Stephen R. Covey
- The 7 Habits of Happy Kids - Sean Covey
The first 3 habits we'll practice are:
- Be Proactive (You're in charge)
- Begin with the End in Mind (Make a plan)
- Put First Things First (work first, then play)
Speaking personally, the habits have truly impacted my family. Learning to "Begin with the End in Mind" has helped us set clearer goals, while "Put First Things First" reminded us to slow down and prioritize what really matters. These small but intentional shifts in our home have created more peace, structure and joy. And I want the same for you!
To start, let's explore the first three habits together and begin practicing the Leader in Me language in our homes. Imagine the power of our children hearing us use the same words they're learning at school - that's when leadership sticks!
Call to Action: I invite you to join us in upcoming workshops where we'll unpack these habits, share real-life examples, and have a little fun while we grow as a community. Don't be shy - reach out, get involved and let's walk this journey side by side.
